Tyler Eady

Bio

Coach Eady begins his 4th season in his second stint at Oakland High, coaching the offensive line for the 2025 campaign. The Smyrna, Tenn., native was a starting offensive lineman on the school’s state championship teams in 2006 and 2007 and the Bulldogs reached the state quarterfinals during his senior year. Eady played collegiately at UT Martin, starting four years for the Skyhawks, earning his bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance in 2013 and a master’s in Sports Administration from American Public University. He began his coaching career at Oakland High in 2013, helping the Patriots reach the state semifinals in 2014 and 2015 along with a state runner-up finish in 2016. Eady joined fellow OHS assistant coach Scott Thomas at Oakland Middle School in 2017, spending five years with the Chargers and was an integral part of the program’s three straight county championships (2019, 2020, 2021). Even while at the middle school he continued with scouting and film analysis at the high school and returned to OHS as defensive backs coach in 2022. He is married to the former Carly Lamb and the couple has two boys, Knox and Colt.
